Dan Carozza, USPTA - Director of Tennis
Dan was a top-ranked junior player from Dunwoody GA, playing collegiately for Alabama Crimson Tide and professionally on the ATP Tour’s Satellite Circuit. He spent 7 years at North Fulton Tennis Center (Atlanta, GA) training state, southern, and nationally ranked juniors. In addition to juniors, Dan has coached thousands of adult players from beginners to AA3 ALTA City and 4.5 USTA State champions. As a USPTA certified professional, Dan has been the Head Pro at The Windward Lake Club (Alpharetta, GA) and Sandy Springs Tennis Center. He has also been the Director of Tennis at Polo Golf and Country Club (Cumming, GA) and The Lawn and Tennis Club of NC (Pinehurst, NC). Dan served 2 years on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Professional Tennis Association including one term as Vice President. Since moving to Florida, Dan has been the Director of Tennis for the City of Jacksonville Beach and is currently the Director of Tennis for the Planet Swim Tennis Club.
Juan Vazquez, USPTA – Head Pro
Originally from San Juan Puerto Rico, Juan spent 4 years as a nationally ranked player and doubles All-American at Georgia Perimeter College as well as 3 years on the ATP Tour representing Puerto Rico in the international Davis Cup competition. As a USPTA certified professional in Atlanta, Juan has been the Head Pro at Marietta Country Club, TPC Sugarloaf, and Druid Hills Golf Club. Juan served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and in 2003 was awarded Head Tennis Professional of the Year by his peers. Juan enjoys the beach and spending time with his wife Cindy and his 5 children.
Ed Weiner, USPTA – Advisor/Staff Pro
Ed Weiner has 20+ years of tennis and coaching experience. Ed consulted on the development of the tennis program at Planet Swim, and he currently provides oversight while also coaching private and group lessons. With extensive knowledge and passion for the game of tennis, Ed guides players of all ages and levels to reach their full potential.
Prior to coaching tennis full-time, Ed owned and managed a national home furnishings distribution company that sold to major retail chains. Ed earned a BS Degree from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences (Jefferson University) where he played tennis, basketball, and baseball.
Memberships include USPTA, USTA Grievance Committee, Net Generation, and North Florida Professional Association. USTA Inaugural Leadership Academy Graduate, Safe Play certified and provides professional instructions at various resort locations. Authored articles on senior tennis and the virtues of tennis exercise for
